Something unbelievable happened.
Life as a student at Berklee has been incredibly busy, but it’s also full of new encounters and discoveries. My circle of friends keeps growing, and there are jam sessions happening all over the place every day. Even with tons of assignments, I try to sneak out to nearby jazz clubs like Bebop, Wally’s Café, and Monkfish, where amazing, high-quality music fills the air every night. It’s such an inspiring environment for me!
And about that unbelievable thing—
Here at the Berklee Summer Program, there were auditions to choose the pianist for the final showcase concert. After two intense rounds competing with so many talented musicians, I was selected as the only pianist to perform in the showcase. What an honor! At the same time, I feel the weight of this responsibility, and I’m determined to give it everything I have. Rehearsals start this week, and besides this concert, there will also be many class performances during the final week. I'll also be taking part in a cool Motown ensemble! I’m excited to rise to the challenge and make the most of every moment here!
信じられないことが起こりました。
バークリーでの学生生活は、驚くほど忙しい一方で、新しい出会いや発見に満ち溢れています。
友人の輪はどんどん広がり、毎日あちこちでジャムセッションが行われています。
山積みの課題の中でも、Bebop、Wally’s Café、Monkfishといった近くのジャズクラブにこっそりと足を運ぶようにしています。
そこでは毎晩、素晴らしく質の高い音楽が溢れています。本当に刺激的な環境です！
そして、その信じられない出来事についてですが…
バークリーサマープログラムでは、最終選考となるショーケースコンサートのピアニストを選ぶオーディションがありました。多くの才能あるミュージシャンたちと熾烈な2ラウンドを戦い抜き、私はショーケースコンサートに出演する唯一のピアニストに選ばれました。本当に光栄です！
同時に、この責任の重さを身にしみて感じ、精一杯頑張ろうと思っています。
今週からリハーサルが始まり、最終週にはこのコンサート以外にも、たくさんのクラス公演があります。
クールなモータウンのアンサンブルにも参加します！この挑戦に全力で取り組み、ここでの一瞬一瞬を大切に過ごしたいと思っています！
バークリーでの学生生活、濃い日々を過ごしています。
そんな中で校内での二回のオーディションに勝ち抜き、
なんと、最終コンサートで演奏できるたった一人の
ピアニストに選ばれました！！なんと光栄な…。
でも責任重大。出来る限りを尽くし最後まで駆け抜けます！
